Prothom Alo’s Surgery and Radiation Treatments
Prothom Alo was informed yesterday by Sabina Yasmin that she had surgery on February 7 of last year and received 30 radiation treatments over the course of four months. Only those closest to her were aware of these occurrences. As she puts it, “It was a challenging fight, but I stayed determined.”
Four months of therapy were the most challenging period
The legendary singer compared the treatment to a struggle for survival, describing it as an extremely trying experience. She attributed her mental fortitude and perseverance to the prayers of her supporters and the blessings of the Almighty. She acknowledged that the four months of therapy were the most difficult time in her life, even though the excellent medical care she received was essential.
Sabina’s Struggle and Support from Milia Sabed
Milia Sabed, a close friend who she considers a younger sister, provided her with steadfast support during this trying period. During her radiotherapy sessions, Sabina remained at Milia’s house in Singapore and was struck by how genuinely she cared for and loved her. Milia provided her with unwavering inspiration, courage, and emotional support, and Sabina sincerely acknowledged that she could never properly thank her for everything she had done and still does.
Singer Returns to Music Post-Fight
The singer is prepared to make a comeback after her valiant fight; she will perform at two important events in Dhaka on January 31 and February 1 before doing a stage show in Chattogram.
She intends to play both crowd requests and her favorite songs at the first event. “By Allah’s grace, I am returning to music,” she said, expressing her happiness. For the past 60 years, music has been my life, and I can’t fathom living any other way. I find the most happiness there, and it’s great to return there.”
Plans to focus on new albums and live performances
She added that she has been contacted by a number of music directors regarding the recording of new songs. She plans to concentrate on new albums in addition to her live performances. Over the course of three days—January 26, 27, and 28—she will practice with instrumentalists in order to be ready for the next performances. She clarified that she uses this practice to hone her abilities before taking the stage.
