“Next Door Neighbour” Debut on Bongo
The humorous and endearing love story “Next Door Neighbour” will debut on Bongo this Valentine’s Day. The drama, which features Aisha Khan as Bipasha and Partho Sheikh as Adnan, marks Mahmuda Sultana Reema’s directorial debut.
The narrative centers on Adnan, a carefree and rather reckless bachelor who befriends Bipasha, his neighbor. Their feelings and the intricacies of their relationship are revealed when the recently divorced Bipasha begs him to pose as her spouse in front of her parents.
Will they figure something out?
In a press statement, Partho Sheikh reflected on the production and said, “First and foremost, I must thank Reema apu and Rabi bhai for writing such a great script. Every team member was dedicated to making this tale come to life, from the first screenplay readings to the last shoot. We genuinely hope that the audience finds our work as enjoyable as we did.
Aisha Khan expressed her excitement for the initiative, saying she knew she wanted to be involved as soon as she heard the story. “It has been such a rewarding experience to film this drama,” the actress said.
Executive producer Farhana Bulbul Kankhita directed the project
“It has been really unique to start the year with such a great project and an amazing team. My director, my co-actor, the DOP, the costume team, and everyone else who put in many hours behind the scenes to make this project a reality have my sincere gratitude,” she said.
Director Mahmuda Sultana Reema also conveyed her appreciation, saying, “Without the commitment and diligence of all those involved, this project would not have been feasible. I want to thank the Bongo team in particular for their help. We can only hope that the public will welcome the new and significant item that we set out to build. The biggest reward for our efforts will be if they do,” she said.
The 45-minute film “Next Door Neighbour” was written by Tanvir Gazi, while director Mahmuda Sultana Reema and Rabi Ahmed worked together to write the screenplay. The project was directed by executive producer Farhana Bulbul Kankhita.
